“I’m just trying not to be what’s wrong with this world.” Hores De Ovòre Three Years Anniversary Blog Post in Review.

Written By Brian Thorne C.E.O & Founder

Q: It’s been three years since you launched this business. How do you feel?

A: After three years in my industry, I’m grateful for the projects I’ve worked on we’ve had a lot of fun, but I definitely didn’t think I’d be doing what I’m doing today. Three years ago, when I started this business, I thought it would blow up instantly. It’s been more of a slow burn process but not only that the direction I’ve taken my business in as well I didn’t see coming.

Q: Would you elaborate?

A: A lot of the work done at Hores De Ovòre is philanthropic and done behind the scenes. We do a lot of mentoring, working with nonprofits, supporting other LGBTQ + businesses, and content creators. I initially thought my brand would focus solely on fashion and lingerie.

Q: What else did you originally have intended for your brand? Do you feel like you’ve accomplished that goal?

A: I also wanted to give back to this up and coming generation of gay men. This brand was created in mind for and inspired solely by them. Not to simply put them in exotic clothes that made them look sexy but to also share stories of the experiences I’ve had and the adversities I’ve had to overcome to truly feel sexy in my masculine and feminine energy. I think I’ve done that but we’re only getting started, the ripple is only beginning.

Q: Would you say that Hores De Ovòre is an expression of masculine or feminine energy?

A: I’d say that it’s both, Hores De Ovòre was intended to be a culmination of both masculine and feminine energy. A place where they collide and make something beautifully designed.

Q: Lastly, if you could send a message to yourself three years ago when you first launched this brand what would it be?

A: I would tell myself to be patient and trust Gods plan for me and their message to me. I would tell myself to keep doing what I’m doing, to stay focused and remember what I’m doing this for. I'd say you're passionate, not a victim. I’d also tell myself you don’t have to be a great leader or largely recognized all you need to do is try not to be a part of what’s wrong with this world and that will be your message.

Your favorite hot mess, Brian.
