Necessary Confusion

Sometimes in life it’s necessary for us to be confused for a moment. You may find yourself lost after a chapter in your life where you thought you had it all figured out. You may find yourself looking for direction in a period where everyone else came to you for the answers. My point in bringing this all up is to say; in life we have ups, and we have downs and sometimes things don’t always go the way we planned. It’s important for us in those moments to have perspective though. That perspective for me is one I like to call “necessary confusion”. Necessary confusion is a period in life where you’re trying your best, but it seems like nothing is panning out. A period where no matter what it is you try none of it seems to work and there’s nothing you can do but continue to contemplate. I think sometimes we forget we still have the rest of our lives ahead of us regardless of how long that may be… some of us are just so ready to level up right this second that it’s killing us not to be where we know we could be doing the things we know that we deserve and are capable of doing. Well during that period we also have to understand that we are still on God’s path for us nonetheless, or the Universe’s, Allah’s, or whichever higher power you may believe in. Sometimes we have to remember to surrender and release control. When you know you’ve already done the work on yourself and towards your goals there comes a time where you must turn over control of the future to a higher power. We are building empires and legacies every day we wake up and to do that sometimes you’ve got to get the prerequisites down first. So, the next time you’ve fallen on your luck in life and you’re wondering when you’ll get back up again. Think of this point as a time of necessary confusion. God is scrambling your mind so that he may order your steps. Only in the end will you be able to fully understand why you had to go through it all.
